SZABÓ Language Prize – 2022

SZABÓ Language Prize – 2022

The SZABÓ Language Prize was founded by Szilvia Szabó from her private assets with the aim of supporting talented language learners and dedicated language teachers in Hungary and Romania.

The purpose of the prize is to inspire language learners to achieve higher levels of language proficiency and to encourage language teachers to teach languages to the highest standards of quality and creativity.

The language school Szabó Nyelviskola, which specialises in teaching English and other languages and in technical translation and interpreting, was founded in 2001 by Szilvia Szabó, who has been working as its manager ever since. She has published numerous thematic, methodological and workbooks to help language learners prepare for the language exams in English, German and Hungarian as a foreign language. The language school that bears her name has also published textbooks in Italian and Slovakian.

2017 was the first year for SZABÓ Nyelviskola és Fordítóiroda Kft. to award secondary grammar school students demonstrating excellence in learning English or German. Due to the great success of the prize, the competition is launched again. The detailed call for proposals is available on the websites and, as well as on the Facebook sites of SZABÓ Language School and Eurocenter Amőba Education Centre.

The competition is open to teachers of English and German and to the learners of these languages from Hungary and Romania. The prize will awarded to one student and one language teacher in 2022.
